Flaxmill is one of few providers in the Mercury Bay area that can accommodate groups from 12 up to 80 (including wheelchair friendly options). This makes us ideal for small to medium destination business functions and boutique celebrations.
The Function Venue
150m2 of event space for small to medium destination weddings or conferences.

The Accommodation
Mix and match a combination of our 3-bedroom Houses and 1-bedroom Cottages to suit your group (from 12 to 80 people).
5 Houses can accommodate guests in wheelchairs (or have reduced mobility).

- 4 Cottages each sleeping 1 - 2
- 1 Studio Unit sleeping 1 - 2
- Quality linen and towels provided
Important information
The resource consent for our function venue requires that all attending guests must be staying on-site.
We are unable to host larger functions over our summer peak dates from Mid December to Waitangi Weekend, Easter and Labour Weekend. Low season public holiday weekends may be considered on application.
As we are in a residential area, we are obliged to adhere to a No Noise policy after 10.30pm. This may/may not affect your plans, however we feel it’s best to disclose this from the onset to avoid any disappointment.
There is no smoking or vaping allowed on the property – including our gardens and grounds. Guests wishing to smoke or vape will need to do so outside of Flaxmill grounds.
Flaxmill has no in-house caterer but we can introduce you to some great local caterers, or you may choose to bring your own.
