Along with our superior group accommodation options, staying guests can book our venue for destination functions and events.
We are one of few providers in Mercury Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula that can host groups from 12 up to 74. This makes us ideal for small to medium business functions and boutique celebrations.
The Function Venue
A blank canvas for small to medium functions and events.

Group Accommodation
Mix and match a combination of self-contained 3-bedroom Houses and 1-bedroom Cottages to suit your group. For an extra special experience, book ‘Exclusive Use’ of the property and only you and your guests will be staying on-site.

Important information
We are unable to host functions of more than 25 people over public holiday weekends, summer dates from 18 December to Waitangi Weekend and Easter.
As we are in a residential area, we are obliged to adhere to a No Noise policy after 10.30pm. This may/may not affect your plans, however we feel it’s best to disclose this from the onset to avoid any disappointment.
There is no smoking or vaping allowed on the property – including our gardens and grounds. Guests wishing to smoke or vape will need to do so outside of Flaxmill grounds.
Flaxmill has no in-house caterer but we can introduce you to some great local caterers, or you may choose to bring your own.
A minimum accommodation commitment is required to book the venue. This is due to our resource consent requiring attending guests to be staying on-site. This varies depending on the size and dates of your event.
