Deluxe holiday houses by the sea at Flaxmill Bay, Cooks Beach

Flaxmill’s holiday houses are available all year round for couples, families and groups. With 14 on-site, they provide superb accommodation options in the area for holiday-makers, wedding guests, extended family celebrations, conferences and retreats.

Each house offers 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one ensuite), a full kitchen (including oven, gas hobs and dishwasher), laundry facilities and open plan living with a large deck, outdoor seating and a BBQ. They are fully equipped with cutlery, glassware and cookware – a perfect set up for a great summer escape or, with a flick of a switch, the gas fireplace make them fabulous for cosy winter breaks too. A port-a-cot and high chair can be hired upon request at additional cost (subject to availability).

Garden View and Beach View options are available as well as five Accessible Houses designed for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

The House was immaculate and well appointed with all amenities. We had a barbecue under the shade of the mature tree at the front of the house and love the outdoor dining area just as much as the indoor layout. The beds were comfortable and looking love the brightness and natural lighting that made the house even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back again for another stay at Flaxmill and recommend the accommodation 100%

Fantastic design, modern, comfortable and cosy. You’ll find everything you need and more, including a fireplace and big comfy sofas for relaxing after a long days adventure. Highly recommended.

Very stylish accommodation but simple as well. With the beach across the road, a short walk to the Whitianga ferry and an excellent cafe/ restaurant at your doorstep what more could you want. Loved our stay and will be back.
