How Flaxmill Gives Back
Flaxmill Accommodation and Venue is owned by a New Zealand-based charitable foundation, Big Toe Foundation (BTF).
Over the past 10 years, the Trustees of BTF have developed our little 'slice of paradise' with the core objective of providing a high-quality, commercially sustainable facility, that can be made available to NZ based not for profit groups and their team members to use at a reasonable cost.
Flaxmill's busy summer season through to the end of March, provides us with the ability to offer reduced rates to these groups in the quieter times of the year.
This is our way of giving back to the wider community; supporting those who support others.
In 2014 we welcomed our first guests under this programme. Over this time, the facilities have been used by groups and organisations for conferences and courses, and by their team members for relaxing and recharging.
