Travelling to Flaxmill

Driving Directions

From Auckland (approx. 177 kms or 2.5 hrs driving time):

• Take State Highway 1 (SH1) on the Southern Motorway 
• At exit 477, turn left onto SH2 towards Coromandel Peninsula / Tauranga
• Continue on SH2 until the roundabout and take first left on to SH25 towards Coromandel Peninsula / Thames
• After Kopu Bridge (just south of Thames) turn right at the roundabout onto SH26 (you are only on this briefly)
• Take first left onto SH25A and head over the hills towards Tairua 
• Drive through Tairua and follow SH25 for approx. 15kms until Whenuakite
• Approx. 300m past Whenuakite School, turn right at Dalmeny Corner onto Hotwater Beach Road 
• After 3 km, turn left onto Purangi Road (signposted Cooks Beach, Ferry Landing) 
• Stay on Purangi Road, drive past Hahei turn off and past Cooks Beach turn off, through to Flaxmill Bay 
• 1 km after Cooks Beach, is Flaxmill's driveway (on the left, signposted)

From Whitianga (approx. 38 kms or 35 mins driving time):

• Travel south on SH25 through Coroglen Turn left at Dalmeny Corner onto Hotwater Beach Road (signposted Cooks Beach) 
• After 3 km, turn left onto Purangi Road (signposted Cooks Beach, Ferry Landing) 
• Stay on Purangi Road, drive past Hahei turn off and past Cooks Beach turn off, through to Flaxmill Bay
• 1 km after Cook’s Beach, is Flaxmill's driveway (on the left, signposted)
